The Calamity Cowgirls are a dynamic group of young, fearless and talented trick riders!  They debuted at the Estevan CCA Rodeo in September 2015 performing for a full house and received a standing ovation from the crowd in attendance.  They gave an encore performance 3 weeks after the rodeo drawing an estimated crowd of 400 people!  Since then they have performed often both in Southern Saskatchewan and North Dakota.

The group is comprised of Cassidy Ross and Marci LeBlanc from Estevan, SK and Cashlyn Krecklau from Noonan, North Dakota.  The girls have been practicing with their coach Laura (Lausen) Melle for over 5 years and are excited and humbled that their hard work has now translated into exciting, fast-paced performances and many fans who want to meet them and their horses!   The girls have trained their own horses through many, many hours of dedication to their extreme sport. Trick riding is a demanding sport for both rider and horse but the girls share a fundamental belief in their favourite famous quote: “I figure if a girl wants to be a legend she should just go ahead and be one.” - Calamity Jane
